Yoga with Weights

These one-hour classes combine traditional as well as unique poses using light (1 to 3 lb) or medium weights (3 to 5 lb).  This added resistance to the body will increase muscle tone, strength, endurance and flexibility, improve bone density, enhance stability of core and joints and elevate your heart rate for a mild cardio workout. Mental focus and mind body concentration will be practised during balancing and standing poses.  Complete the practise using straps blocks and balls to stretch your muscles and release tension throughout your body followed by a short lying relaxation (shavasana).
